Adult Size: 6-7 feet (200-600 lbs.)

Food: fish, octopus, squid
Range: Pacific Coast
Cool Fact: As baby sea lions learn to swim, they become wonderfully playful creatures. The pup soon visits the water's edge and gradually learns to swim. With their torpedo shaped bodies, they become fast and agile in the water, a skill they will depend upon to escape from sharks and killer whales. |
