Cool Fact: Rhino mothers are attentive and protective. They may keep their young with them for years and during that time they will teach their young all they need to know to survive on their own. While their eyesight is poor, their sense of smell is excellent, allowing them to know when they are in danger. Rhinos are the only animals that have horns on their noses. Unfortunately, their most distinct feature is also the feature that makes them so endangered since they are slaughtered for their horns.
